A mother is going viral on social media after she behaved in the most competitive manner during a sports day event for her kids.
According to local media reports, the mother took part in the race alongside a few other women. But she really decided to take the term competitive spirit to a whole new level of greatness while participating in a fierce manner.
And it wouldn’t be wrong to say that it certainly left other parents, the school’s administration, and her own kids in a state of shock and bewilderment.
The mother was caught pushing another competitor so harshly that she flew away, giving this mother more space to outperform all others and end up winning in the end.
While many did expect the little ones to be guilty of such behavior, this mom took the norms to another level by proving not all parents have it in them to practice good sportsmanship, despite their age.
The mother is now being identified as 25-year-old Katie McDermott who says she just couldn’t hold back and stand the thought of losing. She felt that it was about proving to her kids that when you put your mind to doing things, you can come out successful in the end. And in her case, that stands true.
Interestingly it was hard to miss the mother who had red-colored hair and opted to wear a maxi dress while sprinting in the race.
The mother can be seen giving her fellow parent competitor a huge nudge that was enough to get her out of the competition. Moreover, the mom didn’t even bother to look on or apologized. She had her eyes on the finish line, the whole time.
“I was just focused on how much I wanted to win. I don’t know what possessed me to do something of this sort”- the redhead mom argued while trying to justify her uncalled-for behavior.
Now that the video is going viral, the mother says she feels guilty and has apologized but many feel the race did bring out her inner demon which not too many did see coming.
