Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially threatened all of Europe to pay for gas supplies or they could be prevented from receiving their share as early as tomorrow.
The harrowing threat comes as the Russian economy breaks down after receiving countless Western sanctions from all directions, deeply worsening the economic crisis.
The Russian head of state has demanded all payments to be made in Russia’s foreign currency Roubles, where he was allegedly caught mentioning how the nation gets nothing for free from the world and hence hoped others would follow in their footsteps and pay for their commodities too.
Similiar, the Russian leader warned that the country had zero interest in setting up a charity fund and hence would not be providing anything free of cost.
“We get absolutely nothing for free and we will refrain from engaging in charity work too”- he boldly mentioned.
Russia has been swept away by a growing number of sanctions and it is now using threatening behavior to shut down all gas supplies sent out to Europe as early as tomorrow.
Experts stated how every foreign buyer keen on making a purchase from the Russians would need to buy in foreign currency and for that need to open up accounts in Russia’s banks, which will then be utilized for their gas purchases, explained experts.
A recent report revealed by Gazprom says 58% of Europe’s gas in the past was settled via Euros in January. But this new decision by Putin appears to be a type of savior for his own struggling country and economy.
Meanwhile, the Economic Minister of Germany says it will not tolerate the blackmail dialogue being put up by Russian President Putin, adding how it would reject the demand by all means.
