Kyiv and Moscow have reportedly decided to carry on with peace talks on the Belarus border after Putin sent out orders for his nuclear deterrent forces to be on alert.
The news was confirmed by Ukraine’s President Zelensky who spoke about how members from the delegations of both countries will meet without any strings attached.
According to local media reports, Putin is certainly feeling the heat from the West as more and more sanctions increase, crippling the already troubled nation.
Other than that, recent news spoke about how assistance was being taken from Belarus and special Chechen forces to seize the capital city of Kyiv as Russian forces met with great resistance recently.
This particular deal was reportedly brokered via a telephonic conversation that included leaders from Russia, Ukraine, as well as Belarus.
Meanwhile, sources also spoke about how Belarus has also reportedly taken full responsibility that all planes, missiles, and helicopters that were stationed on Belarusian territory will continue to remain in a grounded position during the period where the delegation travels from Ukraine for talks as well as during its return.
The Ukrainian President referred to the discussion with Belarus leader Lukashenko as a very substantive move, adding clearly how he did not want any troops to move forward to his country from Belarus.
A recent address was made by President Zelensky who spoke clearly about how the decision came at a time when Belarus had declared war on Ukraine and opted to side with the Russians.
“Today, we were all very close to the entry of Belarus’s army into the war”- the President mentioned. And that is the real reason why the two leaders had a very important conversation today, explained reports.
President Zelensky hopes this call for talks will end in success and prevent threats from forces who wish to join in on Russia’s motives of invading the Ukrainian nation.
