The new residence of the Queen’s beloved corgis has been revealed days after Her Majesty’s tragic passing.

After receiving Muick and Sandy as a gift after Prince Philip’s death, Queen Elizabeth II, who had more than thirty furry companions throughout her 7-decade-long reign, grew very attached to the two adorable corgis.

The pets were gifted to Her Majesty by her son, Prince Andrew, and his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.

According to the reports, the Queen was reluctant to get more dogs in recent years because she feared they would end up alone after her death.

Muick and Sandy, however, have since the Thursday tragedy already found a new home.

The spokesperson for the Duke of York confirmed that the two dogs will live with Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, at their Windsor residence, the Royal Lodge.

While Muick originally joined the Queen at Windsor Castle along with a dachshund and corgi cross named Fergus, the latter died at just five months of age.

Taking Fergus’ side by the Queen and Muick was a new corgi called Sandy who was meant as the Queen’s 95th birthday gift.

“I was worried they would get under the Queen’s feet, but they have turned out to be a godsend,” Angela Kelly, the Queen’s dresser, said of the new arrivals.

“They are beautiful and great fun and the Queen often takes long walks with them in Home Park.”

While Muick and Sandy already found a new home, the fate of the Queen’s third surviving dog, Candy, remains unclear.

Since the dogs were often together, it is speculated that the pooch will join Muick and Sandy at the Royal Lodge.

Should this not be the case, it is likely that a member of the staff will look after the pooch.

Another of Her Majesty’s dogs, a spaniel named Lissy, currently remains with her handler and trainer Ian Openshaw. It is not clear if Lissy will stay with her trainer indefinitely after the Queen’s passing.
