Queen Camilla’s polite attempt of trying to break royal protocol was blocked by her sister-in-law, Princess Anne.
This incident arose at a royal engagement last week where the duo were seen attending a joint engagement together.
This ordeal took place at the University of London’s Foundation Day where the Princess Royal presented Camilla with an honorary doctorate of literature certificate.
This was a sweet nod to her ongoing efforts towards promoting the world of literature in the United Kingdom.
After the duo were seen arriving together at the university, they were escorted into the Senate House where their ceremony took place.
To show greater respect, Camilla invited her to enter the room first which is the first step of breaking royal protocol. This rule has been in place since the year 1066.
Thankfully, Princess Anne was very alert and she just could not do that. Instead, she was very courteous about the whole matter and politely refused, trying to signal that it was out of royal protocol which she had zero intention of breaking.
She smiled, refused, and invited Camilla to enter first which is a gesture that many adored and hence praised the Princess for.
