Family members of the victims were given another terrifying shock after a baffling and haunting image of the doomed superyacht that capsized on the Italian coast was released.
The CCTV footage showed the exact moment when the vessel disappeared, sinking on Monday. The chilling video features the boat getting out of view as the storm gets out of hand.
As per one witness, the news that broke out regarding the incident had the locals rush to view the CCTV footage to try and determine what exactly went wrong.
Out of the 20 cameras installed at the residence, one of them had been disrupted due to poor and intense weather conditions while the others were functioning normally.
Experts were quick to add how the boat disappeared in literally seconds and therefore nothing could be done to save it.
The incident arose on the coast of Sicily after a tornado struck during the early hours of Monday. It killed one passenger while five others are still missing. This includes the UK’s Bill Gates or tech tycoon Mike Lynch. However, his wife did manage to make it out alive.
Lynch is believed to have invited his near and dear friends to celebrate his acquittal from a fraud case which he called as a second chance to life. But his celebration turned into an absolute nightmare as rescuers race against the clock to find survivors.
