A mega $14 million operation is in the works to try and recover the giant Bayesian superyacht that sank off the Sicilian seabed.
The tragic mystery left seven people dead while the captain, all crew members, and a few victims managed to survive.
The vessel tragically sunk during the early hours of Monday after its anchor gave way during a freak tornado that was better known as a waterspout. This tore the shop over and down the very rough waters.
Despite a rescue and recovery mission in place, it was near to impossible to rescue everyone and in the end, it turned out to be a massive tragedy.
While 15 people were rescued, seven lost their lives and now, family members are raising questions against the investigators to try and figure out what went wrong and how a vessel deemed unsinkable managed to sink off the Sicilian coast.
While the rescue mission is complete, many questions arise on what to do next in terms of the huge wreck still lying in the seabed.
Many do want to retrieve it but others are worried about the huge price tag involved in terms of retrieving it as it will require expensive machinery and special manpower. The task was described as large-scale and could take up to six to eight weeks to get done.
