Actress Raven Symone is more than proud of Will Smith for the way he behaved during the recent Oscar Awards.
Raven spoke about how it was brave of him to stand up for what he believed and in the same way, she says that it takes a lot of guts to apologize and that’s exactly what Will Smith did, at the end of it all.
In regards to Will’s behavior on Sunday night, where the actor stormed on stage and slapped Chris Rock for making fun of his wife’s shaved head, Raven revealed how she had two reactions to what really went on.
The 36-year-old celeb spoke her mind out on the People TV Show, where she revealed how her first reaction was non-politically correct. She did say that she was forced to cover her mouth in the end and yelled “Woo Hoo”. After all, who doesn’t love a good meme at the end of the day?
But the drama didn’t stop there. The ‘That’s So Raven’ Actress mentioned how her second response was more or less related to being proud of how Will behaved and standing proud about what he believed in.
“He was brave enough to tell his truth and that says a lot about him”- she continued.
“There is one thing that I will surely say about this industry. So many times, we tend to get into the tail end of things or even a long conversation”- she continued.
The star says that in the world of Hollywood, things are usually taken in the wrong way or blown way out of context than they need to be. She also shed light on how most of us don’t even know the rest of the story and yet we begin to judge them.
In the end, the celeb says she is so thankful to Will Smith for making her night memorable and dramatic, to say the least.
