The remains of the third Baltimore Key Bridge collapse victim have been retrieved from the waters, exactly ten days after the tragedy arose.
The third victim was pulled out from the Patapsco while another three are presumed dead, sources have now confirmed.
The victim was identified as construction worker Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval who was one of the six killed when a giant cargo ship slammed into the bridge on March 26. This gave rise to a frantic rescue effort designed to find all of those who were impacted by the ordeal.
The dad of two was pulled from the river after the remains of the 36-year-old were located by divers. This was a victim found inside a red pickup truck that ended up being submerged up to 25 feet in the frigid waters.
Rescue workers and the Coast Guard carried out a joint mission to try and locate as many survivors as possible, moments after the news broke out. But it was not long before they had to call the operation off, adding how the possibility of finding any more people alive was near to impossible due to extreme temperature conditions.
This victim had plunged to his death while working on a construction project for the bridge when the giant DALI shipper container rammed into the concrete structure and resulted in its absolute collapse.
