Minnesota Representative and famous Squad Member Ilhan Omar is feeling the heat after she was seen mocking a video that featured Christians singing to Easter tunes on an airplane.
The video was released yesterday and since then, it has been making the viral rounds on social media as a number of Christians joined in the Holy Saturday celebrations.
A man playing the guitar could be seen initiating the move where a number of other passengers began to join in on the Gospel tunes that were being played at 30,000 feet in the air.
Ilhan Omar was seen criticizing the video and even put up a statement in defense where she asked her followers how they would feel if she suddenly began to conduct a prayer session on the flight,
Omar who is a Muslim said she was not in favor of such acts and they should stop as a whole becasue not everyone was appreciative of them.
But that added fuel to fire as so many people including fellow politicians started to step into her chat and question why she hated Christians so much.
“You are disrespecting the Christian society and hating on so many Christians”- mentioned one user who was appreciated by many others that held the same opinion.
It can be said without a doubt that the video has prompted a major online debate regarding the nature of the worship being portrayed online.
“I firmly am thinking about having a prayer session online with my family next time I travel. I wonder how you all would feel about that. How do you think something like that would end?”- she continued.
Clearly, many were not happy with the comments as they felt it was coming from a place of hate. What do you think?
