Tragic new details have emerged about actor Heath Ledger, thanks to one leading Hollywood director.
Stephen Gaghan shared some very heartbreaking new details on this front and how the star’s tragic death is a matter that he’s been wishing to speak on for months but never had the guts.
The 58-year-old director added how he got a very devastating phone call from Heath’s dad Kim after the star from Australia died in 2008 January. He passed away from an accidental overdose of drugs at this apartment in New York. He was just 28 years old.
16 years later, Stephen mentioned how he found out about his death and it’s causing chills.
The director mentioned how he happened to be talking at a podcast that spoke about those projects that never made it to the big screen. Hence, this was regarding a movie he had planned with Heath.
During that podcast, he went on to add how Heath was found with a copy of the Blink Script right next to him, and then another one of Malcolm Gladwell’s books was also seen on the nightstand.
The director collapsed at the airport when he got a phone call about Heath’s death because he could not come to terms with what had just happened. “I planned to make so many films with him but that never happened”- he continued.
