Rey Mysterio Snr has reportedly passed away, his family confirmed.

The wrestling legend whose real name is Miguel Angel Lopez Dias was also the uncle of the current WWE star Rey.

The Mexican wrestling legend’s death was shared on social media. It was shared how much they regretted the news of the death of Miguel Angel Lopez Dias.

Mysterio started wrestling in 1976 and retired in 2009. But his son and grandson continue to carry his legacy on. What is shocking is how the news of his death came just a week after his father died a few weeks back.

He started his training session as a boxer but found out more about wrestling through trainers. He debuted in January of 1976 and throughout his career, he wrestled like professionals.

To distinguish his achievements from his own nephew, he was usually referred to as Rey Mysterio Snr while Dominik was his grand nephew. His grand-niece also appeared in the WWE on several different occasions.

Fans were quick to share how saddened they were to hear the news. They prayed for the family during this difficult time and hoped they could use this time to heal from the sudden grieving events of two back-to-back deaths.
