Tragic reports have confirmed the death of legendary star and comedian Richard Lewis.
According to reports from local media outlets, the star passed away at the age of 76 at his residence. This is a few years after battling out his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis.
Last spring, he was said to be so unwell after suffering a progressive disorder that impacted his nervous system and other parts of the body that were controlled by nerves. He then spoke about how he was retiring from the likes of stand-up comedy too.
“I am at the top of my game right now. I think I just might call it quits”- he continued. The star said he felt so good about retirement and how he needed to take some time off to rest.
He is also said to have undergone a series of surgeries that arose back to back and for him, it was great in terms of how big of an impact it made to his health, positively. “It was my bad luck but that just happens to be life”- he added.
The star leaves behind his beautiful dog and puppy whom he referred to as his family and support system, each time that he was not well. Now, heartbreaking tributes from fans and industry members are being generated after the news broke out this evening.
