Heart-stopping footage is making the rounds on the internet showing how Steve Irwin’s teenage son Robert was just minutes away from his death.
The video showcases Robert Irwin running for his life when a giant 13-foot crocodile lunged right at him at a zoo in Australia today.
Steve’s teenage son could be seen telling his fellow zookeepers to bail when the giant and rare saltie named Casper began to charge right at him.
Sources claim that the teenager was testing to see whether or not the giant crocodile was comfortable enough inside his new enclosure which was rumored to be featured for a number of recorded shows at the renowned Australian zoo in Queensland.
It was most definitely one of the closest calls that Robert has had recently when the huge beast opted to ignore his lunch and go straight at him in a violent charging manner.
Casper is being named as one of the two Saltwater Crocodiles at the Australian zoo who is leucistic and that means it has a dramatic reduction in his dark-colored skin pigment.
The zoo has released a public statement mentioning how Robert is perfectly fine but he did have a near to death experience from one of the most aggressive crocodiles that they have ever laid eyes on.
The giant beast is paired in the zoo with another female crocodile named Wendy.
As far as measurements are concerned, he is nearly 3.7 meters long and weighs a staggering 350 kilograms.
Meanwhile, the Australian Zoo says his recent aggressive behavior is clear evidence of how he would most likely have been picked on when in the wild.
Robert could be heard yelling and screaming, “Bail, bail, bail”- as he tried to quickly flee from the scene as the snapping jaws followed closely behind.
