There was plenty of drama that took center stage today at the Royal Ascot when a horse that was pulling Princess Beatrice’s procession carriage suddenly became spooked.
According to local media reports, things got out of hand real quick as the incident took place in front of thousands of spectators who were watching carefully. But thankfully, things did manage to get under control after a while.
But as anyone would expect, the watching royal family member appeared more than concerned by the sudden appearance of this sort of drama that members of the royal family are certainly not accustomed to. But after a while, we did witness her disembarking from the carriage, smiling at the crowds, and getting into another carriage.
The 33-year-old princess was stated to be attending the 5th day of an event that was rumored to be one of the largest seen on the racing calendar. She happened to be accompanied by her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
As part of a tradition, we saw the Royal couple arrive via a horse-drawn carriage that happened to be the fifth and the last day of the event.
These two were joined by other notable personalities. On the other hand, the Duke of Kent was also seen arriving but in his own separate carriage.
As the horses were seen arriving, things went haywire all of a sudden, and the animals got out of control for some reason that is yet to be revealed.
Royal escorts jumped in at a swift pace to keep the animal under control and also to maintain calm in the environment, while the mom of one was looking from behind.
Later on, reports confirmed how the other horses were being checked to prevent any such activity from taking place in the future.
