Prince Harry and Prince William have spent their entire lives firmly in the royal spotlight. But it is often forgotten the brothers have a stepsister, who has opted to live a private life away from the glitz and glamour of the monarchy.

The royal brothers have two step-siblings through their dad’s wife, Camilla, who previously married ex-soldier Andrew Parker-Bowles before she married Prince Charles. They are Laura Lopes, 44, and her brother Tom Parker Bowles, 47.

Although Camilla is well-known around the world, Laura leads a more private life, compared to her brother who is a well-known food writer and often appears on food and cookery TV shows.

In an interview with Good Morning Britain in 2019, Tom said he doesn’t consider himself or Laura to be part of the royal family.  Tom said he and his sister are “not quite part of the royal family, to be honest” and added, “My mother married into it. She’s part of it. We’re the common children. We’re just on the side.”

According to The Express, Prince Charles “may bestow royal titles upon his stepchildren” when he ascends to the throne, but it may be unlikely given the family’s reluctance to offer Harry and Meghan’s children royal titles.

When it comes to the British Royal Family, there are only a select few names who make the news on a daily basis. However, the Queen does have many royal relatives and aside from four children, she has eight grandchildren, as well as seven going to be eight great-grandchildren.
