The Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv is currently under massive attack as it faces hostile bombardment by Russian missile strikes.
According to the Ukrainian MP, the desperate conditions of war are cutting off food supply leading to a massive food shortage crisis. And that means innocent civilians are starving and being forced to drink sewage water as they’ve got no other option.
Many are also being forced to hide and take refuge at both metro stations and basements, showing how desperate the situation has become as a whole as many are trying to find safe shelters to avoid Putin’s bombs.
Ukrainian politician Lesia Vasylenko explained during a recent interview with Times Radio how people were starving without any sources of food and water and things were reaching the point of a crisis.
Sources revealed that although the Russian military is unable to advance forward due to stiff resistance and defense attacks by Ukrainian troops, non-stop bombardments from all directions had instilled another 35-hour long curfew in Kyiv.
The curfew will run from Saturday to Monday and that means all local residents will be barred from leaving their homes during this period, unless they require a bomb shelter.
Sources also spoke about how gas stations, pharmacies, public transport, and other shops would all be non-functional during this time period of the curfew.
While the struggle of Russian troops to capture the capital city of Kyiv continues, the Ukrainian politician also pointed out constant attacks were also being directed at the port city of Mariupol, adding how the situation has gone from bad to worse.
She also pointed out how nearly 15,000 civilians were being forced to leave their homes in Mariupol, ever since Russian forces had captured it recently.
