Kirill Tereshin, 21, from the city of Pyatigorsk in southwestern Russia’s Stavropol Krai region, says he wanted to make his leg muscles look like rockets. To avoid the bother of working out, the former soldier started injecting Synthol into his biceps to develop massive muscles.

Tereshin, a Russian MMA fighter, was dubbed “Popeye” because his massive biceps is lamenting his “stupidity” for injecting petroleum jelly into his arms and the coronavirus pandemic has delayed surgery to fully remove the dangerous implants.

The Social media sensation has received comments from concerned fans urging him to seek medical help for his massively bloated oil-pumped arms.

His cosmetic surgeons reportedly only agreed to carry out surgery to put the silicone implants into his calves after he promised not to inject Synthol into his legs.

Tereshin shared’s a photo of his new legs on social media and said: “I will make my calves look like my arms. My nuclear weapon will be the most powerful and big.”

Tereshin went under the knife in 2019, but his new girth didn’t matter much in the ring, as he lost to an opponent in just three minutes. Shortly thereafter, he started to complain about problems caused by the implants.

He said: “That is why I started the surgeries to get rid of this nightmare. I bulked up my arms when I was 20 due to my stupidity. I did not think about the consequences.”

Many TikTok users cannot believe he is still sporting bulging muscles in his arms after he was forced to undergo life-saving surgery on them. The fans are now urging him to seek urgent medical help before something terrible happens.

Tereshin said he was “very lucky” doctors were willing to treat him after surgeon Dmitry Melnikov told him he could die if his arms were not operated on.

He said: “The hardest surgery will be on my biceps … the nerve responsible for the arms’ sensitivity is inside. God forbid something happens to this nerve and I cannot move my arm. I really worry about this; I am very afraid …”

“I should have thought about this earlier, I know. I blame myself; I know I’m guilty. The cheap petroleum jelly implants led to high fever, strong pain, and weakness,” he added.

Synthol itself is made up of 85% medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, 7.5% lidocaine, and 7.5% alcohol, according to Healthline. Lidocaine is designed to reduce pain and the alcohol helps sterilize the mixture and reduce the risk of bacterial infection. MCTs are typically found in coconut and palm oils.

Later this year, he will undergo additional surgery to remove the rest of the hardened jelly. After doctors warned him that he may lose his arms, he went through two rounds of surgery to remove dead muscle and skin from his triceps. His biceps though still remain blown up which has been the cause of some mocking him over TikTok.

Tereshin was forced to have his enhanced triceps surgically removed but his bulging tree trunk arms look dangerously out of place on his slender frame. According to experts, Synthol can damage muscle tissue and endanger cardiovascular health which has led to Tereshin’s TikTok followers expressing their concern for his life.
