British naval personnel deployed for duty on the grand occasion of the Queen’s funeral were seen rushing a policeman on a stretcher after he collapsed while standing guard.
According to local media outlets, it was the sailors to the rescue as they rushed the law enforcement officer out to safety. Sources claim that this is not the only unprecedented incident to have taken place recently.
Two more band members of the Royal Air Force and Gurkha had also collapsed alongside a member of the Palace’s household today.
The reason appears to be the hot weather conditions and the thick uniforms many are forced to endure at the state event.
The police officer could be seen lying at the center of the ground in Central London and being attended after which he was rushed out on a stretcher. The quick response and unity displayed on occasion were ones that many critics applauded as the scenes were captured on live television before the start of the Queen’s funeral.
While he did not appear to be alright at first, the fact that he could drink water while lying on his stretcher made the crowds breathe a sigh of relief as he was cheered on by onlookers applauding his bravery.
In a totally separate incident, a member of Buckingham Palace was seen lying on the ground and complaining of feeling unwell. He was quickly rushed and attended to by medical professionals.
These incidents are not being treated lightly, especially after one of the Queen’s own guardsmen fainted on duty while standing guard near her coffin a few days back. That incident sparked horror in the heart of the capital.
Seeing so many members of the Royal service faint during their duty just goes to show how much love and devotion they have to serve Her Majesty as they pay their final respects at her funeral.
