A Hawaiian Airlines flight from Phoenix to Honolulu made huge headlines after suffering from a shocking episode of turbulence.
Now, passengers aboard that flight are explaining what exactly happened during those terrifying moments when they feared this might be the end of their doomed journey.
The Hawaiian Airlines flight from Phoenix to Honolulu was reported to have suffered two major and intense drops in altitude at about 50 minutes into the flight.
And while the plane did manage to make a safe landing at the Daniel K. International Airport, what went abroad on that dangerous flight is just mindblowing to hear.
Severe turbulence rocked the flight to such an extent that reports are speaking about at least 36 people getting injured including 11 individuals that were called out by the paramedics for getting hurt to an extreme extent.
Among those injured included a 14-month-old child and it’s not clear yet how injured the child actually turned out to be.
Emergency services were seen rushing to the scene when the jet which featured a total of 278 passengers and 10 crew members landed at the airport.
Many called it the avoidance of a major disaster. Those injured know how there were some major head injuries and cuts on so many people while other people managed to lose consciousness.
Hawaii airlines confirmed how the flight did indeed go through a very scary moment of turbulence but it landed at 10:50 am today.
While some spoke about terrifying screams from both adults and kids, others recalled how their heads slammed against the airplane’s ceiling. These are those passengers who didn’t have their seatbelts fastened in properly.
Speaking to Hawaii news a while back, the passenger named Jazmin Bitanga says it was so haunting to see people bleeding and just bracing themselves. “So many were just crying and screaming. I hope no one has to ever go through something like that”- it was just so awful.
