Author JK Rowling is being slammed for her transgender remarks and now an upscale girls’ high school in the United Kingdom is going as far as axing her name from the institution.
We’ve seen the famous author of the superhit Harry Potter series be slammed by critics worldwide for her remarks against the transgender community with many fans being left beyond disappointed at the stance that the author was seen taking.
The school called King’s High in Warwick had previously published an entire list that featured the world’s most inspirational females.
But little did anyone know that in the end, they’d be bold enough to ax the author out, claiming she’s done nothing but upset so many people with her baseless allegations that do nothing but hurt the community.
“She’s not inspirational. In fact, she’s far from it. We need people on the list that have actually made a real contribution to society, not those that have ended up doing nothing but damage to it”- mentioned one member of the high school that is now going viral on social media.
The name for the list this year has also been changed to those females who have made the world a better place and the school believes Rowling has no business being included.
“JK Rowling has been binned and so have two others”- the post recently sent out by the school mentioned.
The author’s views on a number of trans subjects and their rights were the subject of much controversy and were being highly criticized through various quarters as well.
The school’s changemakers list only has a selected few innovators, open-minded creative individuals, and those with inquisitive thinking capabilities.
It also revealed how only those names could be included who demonstrated kindness, compassion, and great empathy toward others.
And for this, JK Rowling stands nowhere near these qualities.
