The headteacher of a Primary School is forcing all students to go green and save the planet by becoming vegetarians.

For this reason, the school has launched a new rule banning meat from students’ lunch boxes as well as from the meals served at the canteen.

The school was identified as Barrowford Primary School in Lancashire which has managed to cause great outrage and concern among parents who disagree with the principal’s decision.

Moreover, sources have gone on to mention how this isn’t the first time that she’s come under fire as the rule was reportedly launched last year but parents were only made aware of its presence recently when the administration opted to send out a letter last week.

The headteacher was identified as Rachel Tomlinson who claims that her rule is justified as the new rule is a good demonstration of how each person making a small change in their daily habits can actually result in a huge impact of positivity overall.

But parents are certainly not happy as one mother has even gone ahead and threatened to remove her kids to a new school.

A recent report released by the Countryside Alliance stated how schools need to steer clear of rules that ban meat.

In the year 2015, this particular school made headlines after receiving poor ratings and was also termed inadequate by Ofsted who declared that they had the lowest possible rating.

Just months ago, the school made heads turn when the same principal banned all punishment for students who misbehaved. In the same way, she also allowed them to engage in video games. And just in case that was not enough, she prevented teachers from raising their voice at students too.

Despite the criticism, the school doesn’t seem to be backing down, anytime soon as the principal claims she’s doing everything she can to stop climate change.
