A loving and bright 10-year-old student has reportedly passed away in Texas after being slammed by two vehicles.
As per reports from local media outlets, she died after two cars rammed into her while crossing the street and making her way to school.
Her loved ones detailed more about the tragedy and how excited their daughter was for the upcoming holiday season. But little did anyone know that she would never come back home from school, leaving them devastated and numb with grief.
Other reports spoke about how the Arlington Police Department ended up responding toward the intersection of Sublett Road and Park Springs Boulevard.
They were there to investigate the auto-pedestrian collision that involved a young child. The incident is believed to have taken place at about 3:56 pm as per reports from a news release that was shared with People Magazine.
Moreover, the department even went on to add how the investigators soon released the name of the deceased, identifying her as Liyah Grace Holsey. She tried to cross the road from the north side of the road and make it toward the south end.
But along the way, she was hit by two large vehicles that happened to be traveling toward the eastbound lanes of Sublett Road.
The victim was rushed to a nearby local hospital and paramedics described her condition as critical. Meanwhile, officers were made aware by the medical staff during the later hours of the night about how she had died due to her injuries.
As per reports from the department, both of the drivers involved in the accident are said to be cooperating with the cops during this difficult time as the family mourns the sudden loss of their loved one.
At the moment, no criminal charges have been filed. Her school is now carrying out a memorial in her honor as many remember Hosley as a wonderful student who adored to sing so much.
