Sean Connery’s wife has scattered her late husband’s ashes across multiple undisclosed locations in his native Scotland.
As 93-year-old Micheline Roquebrune revealed, she delivered on her late husband’s final wish on what would be the Hollywood legend’s 92nd birthday on Thursday.
Roquebrune, who lost her husband back in 2020, previously vowed to bring Sir Sean’s remains back to Scotland saying “that was his final wish” before his death.
Now, the grieving widow kept her promise as she met up with several relatives to spread the James Bond star’s ashes in several “secret locations” in his homeland.
“We are going to bring Sean back to Scotland – that was his final wish. He wanted his ashes to be scattered in the Bahamas and also in his homeland,” Micheline previously revealed.
Earlier this year, she threw some extra details about her plans into the pot saying:
“He was at his happiest on a golf course so as soon as it’s possible to travel, we will come to Scotland as a family and bring Sean’s ashes.
“I hope to scatter them on a golf course in Scotland as he always loved playing there.”
It is believed that Roquebrune was joined by the Hollywood star’s granddaughter, Saskia, and son, Jason, on the trip to Scotland where the family said their final goodbyes.
“I have memories of St Andrews always being sunny. It wasn’t, but we had special times there. He was a member of the R&A so I think probably that might be the place,” Jason said earlier this year when he suggested the family might spread Connery’s ashes at St. Andrews.
