Comedian and actor Chris Rock is breaking his silence in the aftermath of the humiliating slap that arose at the Oscars from Will Smith.
The host of the evening was baffled when Smith shocked the world by storming on stage and slapping him for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair. And as you can imagine, the star was not happy.
But while many people spoke about the slap itself and who is right or wrong in this situation, others are debating about what the aftermath would have been for Rock after the ordeal. And now, the comedian is finally breaking his silence regarding that matter.
During the time of that particular offense, it was just harrowing to see how Smith managed to get away with it but Rock says it was super difficult for him to move on.
Therefore, he had no other choice but to attend counseling sessions with his own daughters to combat the terrifying incident.
One of Chris Rock’s closest friends says that the comedian really did have a major toll on his family too. And yes, it was embarrassing with a capital E, he added.
Nobody wants to go to counseling with their daughters. It’s wrong for so many reasons”- he added.
While Chris Rock’s wife was not present at that very moment in time, she says that she felt his pain. And no one wants to see their partner or loved one go through something this humiliating in the public eye.
She really got so upset and it just angered her so much to see anyone treat her man this way for something that was supposedly a joke and in no way shape or form meant to degrade anyone.
