A popular restaurant in New York City that made heads turn for serving a rat in a couple’s beef soup is now under the radar thanks to health authorities intervening.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to speak about how the famous restaurant is now in danger of being shut down after it was temporarily closed for investigation.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how the health department officials were also able to locate rodent droppings and that really showed how the popular diner was infested with the furry creature, sparking outrage among diners.
The news has gone viral thanks to a couple who simply refuse to accept the fact that their beef soup looked and tasted awfully strange. And when complaining, they knew that the restaurant was at fault.
But despite all of these claims coming forward, the restaurant owners have sworn that there is no truth in this regard. They are now trying to prove their innocence by claiming that the video footage of how their food is getting prepared is more than enough to understand that the food was all hygienic.
However, that is clearly not enough evidence to make people understand and accept the fact that what they were served was actually beef.
Now the restaurant owners are going to have to answer some major questions related to this eatery and why it ended up being closed after mighty complaints took center stage.
The restaurant named GAMMEEOK received a startling 18 violations when the food inspection was carried out on January 18.
Other startling concerns had to do with the fact that the food was not stored as per proper health and safety standards. Similarly, no trained food supervisor was present on the scene.
