For many parents, school lunches have been a subject of great concern and debate lately because of the current economic situation taking place around the globe.
Not only have educational institutions begun charging extra for food, but they’re also making comprises on children’s health and well-being and parents don’t think that is alright or justified.
This mother was raging and opted to share images of her child’s nearly empty baguette. She says that it’s beyond unbelievable what is taking place and the school’s administration should be ashamed of themselves for getting so many complaints from parents in recent times and yet not taking the matter seriously.
Just last week, the school was slammed for serving just three potato wedges to kids with their meal, leaving a lot of room for improvement.
The whole fiasco began when the child sent out an image to her mother that had the caption, ‘Mom this is my lunch today!’ And the feeling of seeing a baguette that big be filled with basically nothing was strange.
It was not only unappetizing to look at, but it was also near to being empty. “I just can’t get over the audacity of the school’s lunch service. There are limits and they have reportedly crossed them”- she adds.
This particular school in question was identified to be the West Monmouth School. It’s reportedly situated in Pontypool in Wales. Moreover, it was seen getting plenty of criticism for their famous ‘only beans and potato wedges meals’ that started outrage in the past too.
Many parents who saw the viral image take social media by storm say that this is definitely wrong and they have hard-earned money that shouldn’t be spent on things as poor as this. In the same way, they added how meals like this wouldn’t ever be served to their own kids so why do something wrong in the first place?
