Actor George Clooney claims the world knew he married up after he wed Amal Clooney.
The A-list star sat down for a candid one-on-one interview where he spilled the beans about how it’s no secret that he did level up to be her husband.
“It’s no secret, everyone around me knew. This is something I found out later too, she just is the most beautiful, smart, and kind person that I have ever come across in my life”- the actor added.
Clooney then explained he was certainly up to the stunner’s standards when the pair said ‘I do’ but he got there with time, putting in a great deal of effort.
When asked if he still feels the pressure and weight of punching above Amal, he agreed. Moreover, the Ocean’s Eleven star then went on to mention during a special screening of the movie at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City how it’s a common understanding amongst his friends and loved ones. They all simply agreed to it.
Everyone would truly agree and say the same thing, the star chuckled. The pair got married in September 2014 and then soon welcomed twins in the year 2017.
Amal is a leading barrister who held many appointments with the British Government as well as the UN. The same stands true with the Columbia Law School where she is hailed for being an adjunct professor.
Clooney reportedly met for the first time at his residence in Lake Como and is believed to have fallen head over heels for her. The star was never looking for love and he says it just happened, adding how her charm was so overpowering and hard to miss.
This is one reason why Lake Como continues to hold a special place in the star’s heart. He and Amal love to vacation there and take the kids, adding how many memories it holds and how the serene views just add that magical touch to their family time.
