Mike Lynch Yacht’s Black Box Reveals Final 16 Minutes Of Terror Before Ship Sunk


The black box aboard the doomed sunken superyacht Bayesian has been recovered.

According to reports from local media outlets, the luxury vessel’s black box was able to provide a staggering amount of evidence as to what went on during the final and dramatic 16 minutes before the vessel sank.

The incident arose across the coast of Palermo which killed seven people on board. According to reports from local media outlets, the divers ended up pulling the final victim’s remains who happened to be the daughter of tech tycoon and owner of the vessel, Mike Lynch.

Her remains were located inside her cabin while the rest were found in different parts of the boat.

Hannah Lynch was found five days after the disaster struck when a storm near the Italian city of Sicily arose. The black box showed how the vessel began to shake in a very dangerous manner at about 3:50 am. Within a couple of minutes, the yacht’s anchor gave way. As per experts, there was no more anchor left to hold by 3:59 am.

As the storm hit, it dragged the yacht through the water for a staggering 358 meters and started to take in the water close to 4 am as per reports. Then by 4:05 am, the yacht completely disappeared and went underwater. Out of the 22 passengers and crew, six passengers and one crew member were still inside at the time when it sank.

A distress signal was finally emitted to a nearby coastguard one minute later and as per witnesses, they saw the vessel getting struck by the giant waterspout. 11 were saved by climbing onto an inflatable raft located on the ship’s deck while another four were saved by a ship that was nearby who brought them back to shore safely.
