A woman is hitting back at all those people who she claims put her on the guest list of their events, just for the sake of getting presents.
She explained how baby showers and weddings are great to attend when they’re hosted by someone you know well, not by strangers who make you feel like outsiders and put in zero effort.
The influencer took to her account on social media to mention how this behavior was just not okay. She felt that calling people for gifts was just not something she prefers and it was beyond offensive to her.
“Why would I attend your baby shower, knowing that you are rude to me? You either give me respect or don’t”- she went on to mention and people agreed that it was definitely weird.
30-year-old Lanette Rincon who hails from Colorado says attending someone’s milestone without having any possible connection with them is not only strange but out of the question. She does hope that someday, people would understand that and consider it before acting dumb all of the time.
The business manager says it’s definitely offensive and adds, ‘I ain’t going there for your presents!’
Rincon adds how she declines invites on a usual basis and it’s definitely not something too new for her! She feels that now that she’s got an established fan base and fame, people want to see her at their events but it’s not okay in her books.
She does certainly make exceptions for relatives and pals who live across the nation. In that case, if she does decline, it has to do with not having enough time.
“Sometimes I do feel like no one has ever thought of me until they have some sort of an event. Nobody wants to feel that way, I certainly don’t”- she went on to mention.
