Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage has come to a tragic end after JLo filed for divorce last week.
The incident arose after months of exhausting stories written in the press about the Hollywood power couple. But now that it’s almost over, new details are coming out from insiders who were close to the couple.
Many assumed that it was JLo’s final decision to file for divorce but as per reports, it was one last act of compassion from her husband before they split.
Affleck wanted to make sure JLo was okay and hence opted to give her full power to lead the way in terms of filing for the separation.
The incident was described as petty by the couple’s friends but Affleck always wanted JLo to make the final move as he was compassionate towards her and cared for her feelings.
For him, it was okay to deal with but he knew that she feared humiliation what her fans would think of her, and what stories would be written about them.
Many would assume that either side is now engulfed in the blame game as to why their two-year-long marriage collapsed in the end.
Here, it’s not the case as Ben wants Jen to have her way. He wanted to ‘let her have this’ as an act of compassion. The incident was certainly not a huge shock at all to Affleck as his friend confirmed that he was always the generous one in the relationship.
