Tiffany Cross is reportedly striking a massive controversy after she held a panel discussion regarding Chris Rock’s infamous slap by actor Will Smith at the Oscars.
According to local media reports, the MSNBC host was quick to point out how white people had no right to speak on the matter and also how the discussion surrounding the slap couldn’t be based on their opinions.
“They should just sit this one out, that’s it”- the bold host mentioned during her panel discussion on the famous Cross show on the weekend.
The panel reportedly included the likes of actress Yvette Nicole Brown and TheGrio columnist Michael Harriot.
Tiffany Cross said that everyone over here seemed to be having an opinion on what should have been done or what he didn’t do. But she felt that it was beyond ridiculous to allow so many people to interfere in the matter as white folks’ opinions should not count in this context.
“This is a clear incident of how Black people relate to one another and that’s it”- she continued in a bold tone.
To clear her stance further, she explained how Black people had a certain way of acting or behaving and while some use their words, others like to use their hands.
“In the Black community, we understand that. But unfortunately, the White ones won’t”- she continued.
And then, to help save herself from backlash, the host mentioned how she did not promote or support any form of violence and how violence was definitely not the answer to so many problems in the world.
All three of the panelists condemned the actor for his behavior but were happy to see him acknowledging his mistake and apologizing.
