The iconic soap opera star who starred in the likes of Another World and All My Children has passed away.
Nancy Frangione was a renowned actress and soap opera villainess whose career spanned several decades during which she famously appeared as Tara Martin in ABC’s All My Children and Cecile DePoulignac on Another World.
According to the reports, the beloved actress died at her home in Massachusetts at the age of 70 on August 18. The cause of death remains unclear.
“She was a brilliant actress and a very nice, thoughtful lady who will be missed by so many. Sending love to her beautiful daughter,” one mourner wrote after the actress’s passing was announced.
“She was an amazing soap opera star, I’ll never forget her as Cecile on Another World. So sorry to hear this,” another expressed.
A third said: “I loved to hate her character, Cecile, on Another World – what a fine actress! So sad! May her loved ones find comfort.”
Besides her roles in Another World and All My Children, Frangione appeared in several other shows such as Matlock, The Nanny, and One Life to Live.
From 1982 to 1996, the actress was married to her former co-star Christopher Rich who went on to marry his second wife, beauty queen Eva Halina, in 2003.
Prior to their divorce, Nancy and Christopher welcomed twin daughters Lilly Hanna and Daisy Grace.
