Chester Bennington’s son is slamming Linkin Park’s founder Mike Shinoda for replacing his father with another lead singer.
Jasmine Bennington took to his account on social media to voice his concerns on this matter and call out the musician after the ban revealed they were reinventing themselves after the massive seven-year hiatus after Chester passed away by taking his own life.
He spoke about how people are having a really hard time digesting the news about the band having a new lead vocalist as they always saw it as a music group with him as the lead star.
Now that he’s no longer around, the band has opted to reinvent itself and carry on delivering more music through a new voice.
Jaime Bennington slammed the band and its founder for finding it okay to replace his dad who has been the star of the group and using his friend to be the group’s latest identity.
Jaime is now alleging that his father’s legacy is getting erased in real-time when Emily is announced as the head of the band.
‘You’ve betrayed the trust that was loaned out to you for decades and now you’re promising others that they will be able to lead on dad’s legacy. We trusted you as a bigger and better person but you turned out to be something else. We will not accept this!’- the harsh statement on social media went on to read.
