Green Day changed the lyrics to their hit track American Idiot as a means to show offense to Donald Trump while headlining day two of the 2025 Coachella Music festival on Saturday.

The popular American rock band did not hold back when it came down to showing their true feelings for the country’s head of state.

The band was seen closing out on the second night of the yearly festivities and performed several tracks, such as 21 Guns.

There was one point in time on the main Coachella stage where Armstrong started to belt out the lyrics to American Idiot but altered the ‘I’m not a part of a redneck agenda’ to ‘I’m not a part of the MAGA agenda!’ Obviously, that did not go unnoticed by thousands in the audience who were quick to document the ordeal to share later on social media.

The group was previously seen making the same alteration and appeared on the Dick Clark’s 2024 Rockin’ New Year’s Eve that again didn’t get much love across the board.

Green Day similarly referenced the Israel-Palestine conflict during one of their other tracks to show support for Palestine and raise their voices against the oppression in the Gaza Strip.
