The gunman accused of carrying out a mall shooting in South Carolina has reportedly been allowed to leave jail on bail.
22-year-old Jewayne Price was taken into police custody on Sunday after being charged for unlawfully carrying a gun that was linked to the horrifying South Carolina mall shooting incident.
Police sources revealed how Price was allowed to leave his jail premises on a mega $25,000 bond and while he may have been released upon house arrest, there are other shocking reports coming in that are creating fury in the country.
Sources claim that the suspect will now have an ankle monitor tied to him and then he will be allowed to return back to his job.
The news was confirmed by the suspect’s attorney on Sunday who says his client did in fact use his gun to fire inside the South Carolina mall that left 14 people injured.
But sources added that he had only done that in self-defense and instead he was charged because he simply didn’t have any permit with him to carry that pistol.
Meanwhile, other reports have gone on to mention how Price is just one of the three suspects that have been linked to the tragedy. However, the other two men that were taken into custody are now out of jail because cops couldn’t find any reason to think they were a part of the shooting anymore due to a lack of evidence.
The victims that were injured in the horrifying Sunday incident included people ranging from 15 to 73. A total of 9 people received bullets while five others are known to have suffered injuries while they tried to flee for their lives from the mall for coverage.
