An image of a plus-sized passenger struggling to fit between the armrests of his plane seat has resulted in a fierce debate online.
This has to do with whether or not obese travelers need to pay for extra seats or not.
The overweight individual was snapped by another traveler who can be seen taking on the huge challenge of being squeezed into the aisle seat during his flight from Helsinki to Copenhagen on Monday.
The man who captured the image spoke more about the incident through his social media account. ‘This guy sat behind me on the same flight as me,’ he began.
He then spoke about feeling sorry for himself and another man seated right next to him in the middle seat. He explained how both of those individuals must have felt uncomfortable on that short flight.
‘Maybe it’s time for airlines to address the situation like these in more thoughtful and sensitive manners’- he revealed.
Another person spoke about how the larger individual was protruding into the aisle, forcing others to squeeze around him on the way to the bathroom.
Some explained how the man should pay for another seat so that he’s not causing distress to those in the surroundings. He also explained that it’s not discrimination but a safety requirement. What do you think?
