Ever since the Olympics began, there have been a lot of controversies taking place regarding the living conditions in the village where athletes are staying.
Now, new reports are speaking about how the food is just as bad as the living conditions.
From cardboard beds to lack of air conditioning, athletes have spoken out against the events’ organizers for making their stay a nightmare. More shocking images of athletes sleeping at the park due to hot and humid temperatures also became viral.
Now, a legendary swimmer from GB is speaking up about the food and how he and several teammates found worms inside of them.
Calling the efforts made by the organizers, ‘not good enough’- he shed light on the long queues and lack of meat being included in the menu as well.
He similarly stressed on how athletes had strict dietary requirements where protein is the biggest element of their diet. But to see such less meat options on display left him and many others disappointed.
It didn’t take long for viewers online to call this year’s event one of the worst to ever take place, putting more pressure on organizers to do better or risk being penalized in the future.
