It has only been a few days since we heard about the OceanGate tragedy that killed all five victims on board.
But now, the global community is expressing outrage as the firm continues to advertise more Titanic-bound adventures, despite the doomed Titan vessel imploding underwater.
Many people saw the ads online and were baffled as to how low the company can go after enduring the most heartbreaking tragedy that had the world sitting at the edge of their seats.
So many individuals reportedly hoped, prayed, and waited that there might be survivors but the bubble was worst when debris was found scattered near the Titanic wreckage located deep in the sea. Now, seeing ads that feature an enticing offer of $250,000 trips is just disrespectful, added one viewer and people couldn’t help but agree with him.
Others mentioned how expeditions of this kind were never safe to begin with and the CEO seemed to display predatory behavior that no matter what, getting money in some shape or form had to be done. And if that meant at the cost of human life, then so be it.
After an outcry on the matter arose, the firm’s spokesperson was quick to issue a statement on the matter. He says that it was a mistake and that none of the expeditions being talked about would obviously carry on.
They admitted the mistake and the website was immediately disabled as many were furious over the marketing taking place.
The ad spoke about the haunting 8-day-long expedition that would take visitors to see the iconic Titanic ship wreckage. It failed to outline the shocking truth of how scary and dangerous things were and how exactly the doomed Titan was being operated through a controller worth just $30 to $40.
