At least five activists broke into the famous 5 Belgrave Square around midnight to seize the $54 million property that reportedly belongs to a famous sanctioned Russian Oligarch.
The activists stormed the property and hung the Ukrainian flag with a banner that directly attacked Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Moreover, sources revealed how the huge mansion belongs to the family of Oleg Deripaska who is one of the seven Russian oligarchs that happened to be sanctioned in the prior week.
The industrialist was deemed to be Russia’s richest man at one time and even went about hosting Peter Mandelson and George Osborne on his luxe-themed superyacht too.
But now, new reports have gone on to reveal how riot police have managed to seize it back from the protesters who vow to stay as long as Putin’s invasion of Ukraine continues, as they hope to use the property to house hundreds of Ukrainian refugees.
Oleg Deripaska is considered to be a loyal supporter of the Russians as the UK Government has called him out for being ‘pro-Kremlin’ and very closely associated with President Putin.
Moreover, sources revealed how he also had some very intimate relations with the United Kingdom’s establishment as well.
During the midday hours, cops wearing helmets and safety vests made use of a ladder and a JCB cherry picker while trying to access the home’s balcony with two of the protesters by their side as they tried hard to create a barricade using potted plants that were present.
But officers were quick to make use of drills that made attempts to break open the front gate as so many of the activists began to yell on top of their lungs, “Go away you losers.”
