Isabella Strahan has shared an emotional clip in which she’s seen ringing the bell after completing her radiation treatment on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old previously appeared on Good Morning America along with her TV presenter father Michael to reveal that she was diagnosed with brain cancer after doctors discovered a massive growth in her head.
Despite the shocking diagnosis, the teenager’s prognosis remains fairly optimistic after she underwent an emergency surgery to remove the tumor.
Now, Isabella revealed she had completed six weeks of radiotherapy while admitting she “never thought I’d be ringing the bell.”
“It’s been a long six weeks and I’m very happy to finally heal my head after all of this because the side effects and everything get to you,” she said.
In the heartwarming video, the young girl is seen proudly ringing the bell to signify the end of her treatment as the staff cheered her on.
While radiotherapy may be over, the teen is now getting ready to undergo six months of chemotherapy at Duke University.
Isabella earlier this month revealed she was forced to make the “sad” decision to cut her hair after they began falling out.
“So I cut my hair probably I would say like the end of the second week. It started to thin and just kind of fall out… I couldn’t even like look at myself because of just worse than probably not having hair,” she explained. “It’s definitely sad. Because [I] don’t really cut my hair.”
She also revealed she preserved some of her eggs to increase her chances of having children in the future.
