The US Coast Guard is currently holding a very long-awaited hearing on the deadly Titanic submersible disaster.
The news comes amid investigations into the implosion of the vessel as families wait for more reasons and explanations in terms of how the vessel suddenly imploded underwater.
The experimental submersible imploded while it was moving downwards to enter the ruins of the Titanic. This resulted in the death of all five people on board including the company’s founder in June of last year.
Ten other OceanGate employees are set to give out their testimonies on the incident that arose in North Charleston, South Carolina. This is currently probing any kind of criminal activity that may have arisen in this tragedy.
Witnesses were scheduled to testify on Monday and this includes the former engineering director and the firm’s former finance director. Amongst them also include a contractor. Also scheduled for the hearing are the firm’s co-founder and former operations director.
Meanwhile, some key representatives were also not scheduled to testify which many people found interesting. This includes Rush’s widow who held the position of the firm’s communications director.
For now, no employees are working on a full-time basis. However, we can see that happen very soon as attorneys will be representing them during this hearing.
So far, we can confirm that battery issues, drop in weight, and more raised questions with the board.
