One survivor from the terrifying Bayesian yacht tragedy is sharing details about how she thought she was going to die.
The thought of escaping a sinking vessel off the coast of Italy is nothing that life prepares you for, she explained while speaking about the terrifying text that she sent her father when the realization of the incident took place.
Ayla Ronald who is a senior associate at the law firm Clifford Chance mentioned how she was one of the 22 people onboard the British-flagged vessel.
This is when a giant tornado ended up striking the area where it was anchored at about 5 am on Monday.
Ronald and her partner were both aboard the vessel and had been invited by Mike Lynch after his acquittal from a fraud case. The lawsuit was highlighted as one of the biggest fraud cases to have taken place in the history of Silicon Valley.
She explained how happy the British tycoon was to learn about the outcome and his experience of being given a second chance at life. Unfortunately, they all happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, she stated.
When her father heard about the incident, he was quick to message. And she had no clue about her messages going through. She was the only one whose device had a battery and therefore was the one who had contact with the outside world.
She told her dad that she and her husband were alive but there were many deaths. He worried sick until he got into contact with her after a while.
