Viral swimmer from Paraguay, Luana Alonso, who was reportedly kicked out of the Olympic Village for her inappropriate behavior has finally opted to break her silence.
Alonso says that despite being from Paraguay, she wished to represent the USA at this year’s leading sporting event. She made the bizarre statements while appearing during a live video on social media.
This was right before the Olympics began, as reported by media outlet HOY. Moreover, the outlet went as far as to claim that Alonso also wished to go for a swim in the US as that’s where she attended college.
The swimmer also spoke about how the qualification benchmarks for Paraguay were so much more different than those seen in the USA.
Alonso made headlines for not only her striking good looks but her bizarre behavior. She opted to wear anything of her free will and avoided what was provided to her by the team as a prerequisite.
Many other athletes also spoke about her peculiar actions where she tried to distract them despite them not wanting her around them. All of these reasons combined led to her exit after the management felt they had heard and seen enough and hence sent her packing for home.
