Lego boss Michael Halbye has reportedly passed away at the age of 64.
According to reports from local media outlets, he was also the board member of the Mary Foundation.
Halbye was reportedly skiing in the Verbier region of Switzerland when he fell on the piste on Saturday, as per a recent statement shared by Kirkbi.
His injuries were serious and therefore was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital to treat his wounds, but he died shortly after that due to internal bleeding.

“I have received the sad news about Michael’s sudden death’- the Queen of Denmark mentioned during a tribute.
She shared how he was a man who possessed a rare kind of energy and so much knowledge as well as a strong commitment to making a huge difference in people’s lives.

‘He was also my friend, and he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are going out to his loved ones and close friends!- the heartfelt tribute continued to read.
Halbye was said to have been a member of the Mary Foundation board of directors since it was founded in the year 2007, as per the tribute. In this role, he worked closely with the Queen and the foundation’s secretariat. “He was also my friend, and he will be missed by many. My thoughts go out to his family and close friends,” she added.
