One woman is sharing his disgust online after she encountered a bizarre ordeal during her recent travel experience.
The female passenger shed light on how she had sent out a request to switch plane seats because she did not wish to be seated amongst two plus-sized individuals.
Her reason was simple, she did not feel comfortable as there was very little room to place her legs. But that one request has led others to believe she’s a fatphobic person and she’s not liking that accusation one bit.
The woman explained how traveling is already so stressful and when you’ve been placed in a situation where it’s hard to breathe, well, it’s not a fun affair.
The teenager added how getting sandwiched in a train, bus, and plane really makes her feel so uncomfortable. Therefore, there was no way that she was going to take a long flight silently and not request a seat change.
“I’m paying for this ticket. Hence, I’ve got all the right in the world to switch my seat”- she further explained.
But others found the logic behind the reasoning for seat change bizarre and uncalled for. They revealed how this was not something that required immediate attention and that it had to be done.
She just did not wish to be surrounded by people of her choice and that means she was using her rights of entitlement and privilege to get what she wants.
The shocking incident took place on a recent flight from Las Vegas to New York. It is now being deemed as a subject of debate and plenty of people are talking about the ordeal online and if a change in seats was the right thing to do or not. What do you think?
