A young boy ended up taking his own life recently after the pain and suffering he endured while being bounced around different foster care homes.
According to reports from local media outlets, the young child died after he could not bear the torment of not having any loved ones or a proper roof over his head.
Authorities claim it was a major failure on the part of the social services who failed to keep a check on him despite welfare concerns.
“He was being thrown from one foster care home to the next as if he was a bouncing ball. He was a child and he deserves a lot better treatment than this!”- mentioned the chief investigator leading the cause of death of the young boy named Zhane Chilcott.
The child was forced to shift between 18 foster care homes until he finally ended the struggle himself. Sources revealed how he was struggling with a lot of mental trauma as it is. And then to hear something like this was just too painful.
The news has left netizens on the verge of tears. The incident from South Australia may have taken place in one nation but it has managed to shake the world at how cruel some people can be.
As the investigation into the case continue, sources mentioned how it’s just so depressing to know that one child couldn’t be cared for so that just shows how fewer hope people have in the system overall.
But netizens mentioned that if they had known about the case before and how the child didn’t have a home, they would have adopted him without giving it a second thought.
Zhane’s cause of death was outlined to be multifactorial and preventable if he got the love and care, and support that he required at this age.
