Dr Dre is speaking out loud and clear about the recent Super Bowl controversy surrounding rapper Eminem and the NFL.
The 56-year-old celeb who hails from Compton in California mentioned to TMZ recently how everything went according to plan in regards to the Super Bowl half-time show performances.
Moreover, he also shed light upon how the officials from the NFL only requested some minor changes ahead of the star-studded event that he led.
The show was held on Sunday at the famous So-Fi Stadium located in Inglewood in California with startling performances by a number of celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Dr. Dre.
But everyone was shocked to see rapper Eminem take the knee as reports began to break about how he had reportedly defied the rules and regulations put forward by the NFL.
“They did ask us to change a couple of things but those were very minor”- the performer stated to the media outlet on Monday.
In the same way, when it came down to the actual question about Eminem taking the knee, the Beats Electronics CEO and Founder mentioned how no feathers were ruffled in that context and everything was good to go.
Eminem paid tribute to former NFL star Colin Kaepernick and for that reason, opted to take the knee in that regard.
“As far as him taking the knee is concerned, that was him doing it on his own and there was like no problem with that”- the rap veteran reiterated.
On the other hand, Dr. Dre spoke in detail about how the NFL needed some changes with Lamar’s material that included a few references to gangs in Los Angeles which they changed.
“They seemed to be having a problem with that and that’s why we had to remove it. It’s no big deal”- Dr. Dre confirmed.
In the end, Dr. Dre concluded with how everything was done very professionally and as a whole, it was a fantastic experience.
