While Lizzo may be quite famous for taking on looks that make heads turn, this Halloween her costume didn’t get the sort of raving reviews that she was hoping for.
The plus-size entertainer opted to take on the look of Blueface’s girlfriend and not only was that a unique ordeal but one that really had people thinking about what in the world is going on.
The All About Damn Time Singer really went above and beyond in terms of making people upset by showing up to a recent Halloween event as rapper Blueface’s on-again and off-again partner Chrisean Rock.
The much talked about look had her own twist and impression of how the star’s girlfriend appeared. And it comprised of a long side ponytail with a huge diamond chain that had the word Yitty written all over it.
The starlet was also seen donning a giant tattoo across her neck but thankfully, this time around, it was a picture of her boyfriend and not Babyface.
While she did get brownie points and plenty of praise for thinking outside the box and really taking her look to a new level that portrayed how she felt about the rapper’s lover, others were not so happy.
A lot of the comments had to do with how Lizzo forgot how she was celebrating a woman who was in a very toxic relationship with her partner. They felt she was ridiculing her fans and others who took a stand against Blueface and sided with his partner who was going through so much and yet stay silent.
Even among the backlash, it was time to celebrate for Lizzo as she did end up getting a stamp of approval from the likes of Chrisean herself who complemented, ‘Awww, I love this!’
