JUST IN: Taylor Swift Turned Down Offer To Perform At King Charles III’s Coronation, New Book Claims

Taylor Swift reportedly turned down the offer to sing at King Charles III’s coronation.

The coronation took place on May 6, whereas the Bad Blood hitmaker was busy performing at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium between May 5 and 7 as part of her Eras Tour.

It is said that Swift therefore declined the offer to perform at the coronation, Omid Scobie claimed in his new book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.

Scobie also insisted that putting together a good show was more challenging than one would think due to other notable names passing on the opportunity to sing for the new king. Among them were Elton John, Adele, Harry Styles, and the Spice Girls.

Entertainers who did attend the historic event to put on a show included Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, and Katy Perry.

“To be in this part of history, I’m just blown away, I’m so excited to be there. I’m walking in history,” Richie told Entertainment Tonight of his invitation to the prestigious event.

Katy Perry added: “I met His-Majesty-to-be a few years ago, and he named me as one of the ambassadors to his organization, The British Asian Trust, which is an organization that helps fight to end child trafficking.

“So, I’m also an ambassador for UNICEF, and it really aligned with my values. That’s mostly why I’m going, to be an ambassador and to say, ‘Hey, this is me from the USA.’ No, but it’s so cool.”
